Bug Description

It would be nice to be able to have multiple fonts available, be able to use more than one in a design. Documentation is a work in progress and located here: http://wiki.geda-project.org/geda:pcb_fonts

home/cparker/font_fun implements a font system, adds several fonts, makes saving them in pcb files optional, and allows fonts for text to be specified individually.

This work is not based on the work described in LP 699460 from five years ago or so. It may be possible to integrate some of that work with this work, but that hasn't yet been investigated.

Note that this work does implement a couple of file format related changes, but does not break compatibility with older designs.

Hi Chad,

I set the target for 4.1.0 as it may break the current file format.

If it doesn't it might get reset to 4.0.1.

We have to make sure this feature doesn't break old designs !

So rigorous reviewing and testing is required.

Kind regards,

Bert Timmerman.
