[gtk] gedit right-click menu appears many seconds after it invoked

Bug Description
Running miral-shell and gedit
1. Right-click inside the text entry box
2. Wait...
Sometimes it will eventually appear. Other times I need to cause something else to happen for the right-click menu to appear: "Burger-menu->Save As..."

I think this is a GTK bug due to lack of clipboard support (the context menu does an async operation to determine whether or not the Paste item should be sensitive or not).
