Export error from 0.91 to PDF

Bug Description

If I export this file to PDF (both Linux/Windows environment), most objects are not visible. However, SVG can be opened under Windows with IE and I can see everything but text in the yellow box bottom right corner.

Inkscape version: 0.91. Function "export to PNG" worked well. (not "the Cairo PNG")

Attaching test case from external link to bug report (based on past experience, external links tend to disappear over time).

Appears that the document originated in Illustrator. AI use of masks on images with transparency might be problematic when repurposed in Inkscape and output to PDF.
