Bug Description

This bug is new in Inkscape 0.92:

Attached is a PDF image.
- open it with a PDF viewer of your choice (Adobe Reader, Sumatra PDF etc.) to see how the PDF looks.
- now open it with Inkscape 0.92. Inkscape will ask you how to import. Use the default settings (which is the internal importer) and import.

Result: the colors are lost.

This bug only occurs if one uses the internal importer. The import via Poppler brings the correct result.

Thanks for the report, Uwe!

Unfortunately the bug is not new. I can reproduce it on Xubuntu 16.04 with Inkscape 0.91 and 0.92.

Manually removing the element with id="mask3724" fixes the issue.

But why can Poppler handle this? Also Adobe Acrobat does not have any problems with this PDF. SO I think it is a bug in the internal importer of Inkscape and not in the PDF.

Exactly. That's the reason why the report is marked "triaged" and not "invalid".

Hi - thanks for reporting this bug, I've manually migrated it to Inkscape's new bug tracker on GitLab, and closed it here. We don't really have a suitable label that meets out needs (per https://alpha.inkscape.org/bug-migration/), so we mark these bugs Invalid.

Please feel free to file new bugs about the issues you're seeing at http://inkscape.org/report.

And if you remember/know how the pdf was generated, please share (I know, it's been 3+ years!).
