Bug Description

Playing video, e.g. in vlc or chrome causes the whole machine to hang after 5-10m of video playing.

I also tried

vlc --avcodec-hw none

which I found in another similar bug but it still crashes.

It happens with DVDs and also more modern codecs.

Everything worked fine on 14.04.
