Bug Description

For some VPN networks (eg. my university cisco vpn network) you have to set the "NAT Traversal Mode" to something different than standard, to be able to use the network correctly.

In the cli vpnc, this is the --natt option. In the vpnc config file the "NAT Traversal Mode" entry.
network-manager-vpnc only allows you to enable or disable NAT Traversal mode, but not select different modes (cisco-udp in my case is the correct one).

My suggestions:
Offer a drop-down list or text field for manual entry.
Or maybe even better: a textfield somewhere, called "custom options" or sth. like that, where a knowledgeable user could add any number of additional options, like on the cli with --natt etc.

I have tried to add "NAT Traversal Mode" and "cisco-udp" to the list in gconf-editor (search for vpn).
Unfortunately this crashes Networkmanager when I try to connect to my Cisco-VPN.
A fix would be great.

same here, my work VPN also requires requires it and it would be nice if I could have it as an option in NetworkManager

This is already fixed in the SVN version which is available from https://launchpad.net/~network-manager/+archive

Don't know if it works, but you can choose between NAT-T, Cisco UDP and disabled.

Thanks. At the moment I am not able to test this because I don't have access to that network anymore.

The version of network-manager-vpnc that comes with intrepid allows you to select the NAT traversal method. I tested it and it works fine!
