horizontal banding, rendering issue over filtered objects

Sometimes random banding lines appear over the filtered object where the background shows through.

Similar artifacts (dotted horizontal lines, sometimes in document background color, sometimes with a constant color) observed with Inkscape 0.48.5 r10040, 0.91 r13725 and 0.92.0 r15299 on OS X 10.7.5.

The artifacts seem to occur at the edges of the horizontal regions (tiles) in which the screen is repainted, and the height of such stripes seems to vary with zoom levels and drawing content.
