Abiword shows flashing text field borders

Following a fix for #1637893 (abiword was updated to 3.0.2-2 to resolve black text field after gtk+ 3.22), there remains a bug on lubuntu zesty (updated):

- Flashing to white of the grey borders around the text fields, moving up or down. This on a amd64 lubuntu zesty installed on a Dell Optiplex 780, hardware profile:

- Several screenshots were tried but these don't show this border flashing.
- Installing adwaita gnome-theme (not standard present in lubuntu) didn't make any improvement.

I installed Abiword 3.0.2-2 on Debian stretch i386 with Xfce DE. Same problem shown with border flashing.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and making Ubuntu better.

For now, I'm marking this bug a duplicate of bug 1574278 . One of the Abiword developers indicated that this issue is that bug again:
