Bug Description
I'm not sure this is a bug in unity-greeter, most likely it is another component.
After using the guest session feature (log in as guest) a couple of times I find the following cruft on my system. This shouldn't happen.
$ grep guest /etc/shadow
guest-ceyM7L:
guest-Qb2HtL:
guest-9KbZAI:
guest-Jz5Iz0:
guest-kWc1MQ:
guest-iqcR95:
guest-5UTOnm:
guest-iXkNz7:
guest-nHX8MC:
guest-lrkBHN:
guest-Ltux49:
guest-oggaCN:
guest-y5JvoT:
guest-YBXQ1O:
guest-d2N35B:
guest-B222qB:
guest-B4IqVx:
guest-51gqiH:
Other files seem to be affected as well.
$ sudo rgrep -l guest-ceyM7L /etc/
/etc/group-
/etc/group.org
/etc/gshadow-
/etc/passwd-
/etc/passwd.org
/etc/shadow-
/etc/shadow.org
/etc/group
/etc/gshadow
/etc/shadow
/etc/passwd
I'm running unity-greeter 14.04.11-0ubuntu1 on trusty.
