Bug Description

as far as the older buggy version 3.20160512.1-1 is planned for zesty too please consider to switch to the v3.20160805.1 where the annoying bug https://github.com/jordansissel/xdotool/issues/52 is fixed. It's already there for two years, why keep buggy version even longer?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Now that xdotool 1:3.20160805.1-3 is available in Ubuntu 17.04 and later, I believe this issue can be marked fix released.

This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please perform as much as possible of the SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention.
