Main menu applet (OpenSuse style) is unestable (random crashes)

Bug Description

Opensuse main menu applet randomly crashes and need to be reopen (the Mate desktop report that the progran has been closed unexpectedly and suggest to reopen the applet). I am using Ubuntu Mate 32 bits 16.04 with compiz as a main compositor. There is a portion of the syslog at the moment of the crash below. I also attached a complete syslog for further details about the behavior the applet log.
