Bug Description

Binary package hint: gimp

In Intrepid, gimp windows steal focus on start.
Most of gnome applications behave correctly: when they
start a bit longer and user switch to other window/application,
then newly launched applications open on background.
But this is not the case of this application.

This happen only using compiz (not happen with metacity)
(in Gutsy I saw it also with metacity, but this fact is probably irrelevant now)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

may you forward it upstream then since you're facing the issue? for forwarding instructions please have a look to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME ; leaving this as incomplete until that, thanks for your help.

Seems that it is related more to compiz than gimp,
because it cannot be reproduced with metacity.

So for Gimp this should stay invalid, but it should be valid for compiz..
