Bug Description

got this in syslog of a stable Gentoo Linux (KDE 5, QT5):

Nov 25 17:47:58 t44 hp-systray[6501]: hp-systray[6501]: error: option -s not recognized
Nov 25 17:48:01 t44 hp-systray[6576]: hp-systray(qt5)[6576]: error: Unable to find hp-upgrade --notify on PATH.

2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro supplied package (.deb,
.rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball has the proper dependencies installed to
successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode will check both of the
above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Check types:
a. EXTERNALDEP - External Dependencies
b. GENERALDEP - General Dependencies (required both at compile and run time)
c. COMPILEDEP - Compile time Dependencies
d. [All are run-time checks]
PYEXT SCANCONF QUEUES PERMISSION

Status Types:
    OK
    MISSING - Missing Dependency or Permission or Plug-in
    INCOMPAT - Incompatible dependency-version or Plugin-version

Please provide additional information, at what stage the error occurred. Also the result of hp-doctor can be helpful in resolving the issue.

I have this error too in my logs after running:

> journalctl -p 3

THere is then this line:

> hp-systray[2961]: error: option -s not recognized

But hp-systray running fine and working as expected.

System:
Mint Mate 20.2 with Kernel: 5.4.0-91-generic
