Bug Description
I've tried to install from a Ubuntu 16.04.1 USB flash drive (desktop, iso) made bootable with latest yumi multiboot creator (only this distro was added on FAT32). I've also enabled >= 3GiB of persistent storage space on the flash drive.
The system was a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 mobo with an AMD CPU, compatible 8 GiB of HyperXFury DDR3 SDRAM and a Kingston SSDNOW 300V 240gb SSD, with latest FW at the date of writing this (23/11/
I think that if you want to reproduce this crash, you MUST
1) boot it by hitting any key when the "keyboard = human" sign appears, choose booting into the live desktop
2) open a terminal with CTRL+ALT+T and run the following commands
#make installation possible (this handles a possible overlayfs bug)
sudo su -
mv /var/cache/
mv /var/cache/
chmod 755 /var/cache/
#install ssh which triggers installation of latest kernel version, which will fail mentioning a casper fs path; this is understandleble ofc; the CD/DVD FS is a RO FS
apt-get update && apt-get install ssh --fix-missing
# Just a side-note: I'm using --fix-missing, since 16.04 appeared; this also seems to be a bug; one would expect that apt handles dependencies without further parameters...
The uploader does not allow multiple selections (eg both /var/log/partman and /var/log/syslog) so I decided to upload syslog.

it seems that more files are attached to the report that was mentioned, but I'm OK with that, because all of them are related with the issue I experienced. Keep up the good work guys!
