Bug Description

I am the developer of this module.
The current package 2.2.3 has several bugs that is already fixed at the later versions.
Remark is the yearly unresolved read-caching bug was fixed at 2.2.5.

I want the maintainer to upgrade it to 2.2.6.

Thanks for reporting.

Normally packages will be automatically synced from Debian Sid to the current Ubuntu development version. However, in this case it contained some Ubuntu specific changes as seen in the version number 2.2.3-1ubuntu1. I looked a bit into it and it looks like this has been added to the Debian package, so I have requested a manuel sync of the package, see bug 1647447 for details. See also https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SyncRequestProcess for more details on package syncing, though as mentioned, this happens automatically most of the time. :)

dm-writeboost was successfully synced from Debian to the current Ubuntu development version, Zesty, so I'm marking this as fix released.

I've also taken the liberty to mark the two other upgrade requests as fixed. Normally, new versions are only added to the development version, but if there are critical issues with known patches which should be fixed in older releases please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure. Alternatively, it is possible to get a backport of a newer version to an older Ubuntu release, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports#Requesting_a_Backport for more information.

Changed in dm-writeboost (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released
