The problem is I cannot test ubuntu's only change, need a ppc or ppc64 system to do this. The patch was required to be rebuilt against this new version due to Makefile changes.

Uploaded. Thanks for your work. This change may be worth sending up to Debian.

I would also suggest you choose merges to do that have changes that you can test, i.e don't do merges that are to add functionality for an
architecture you don't have access to.
