Bug Description

Go 1.7 is packaged for yakkety http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=golang-1.7 , but installing golang installs and points to 1.6. Consider implementing an alternatives setup, allowing to switch between 1.6 and 1.7. Thanks

I'm sorry but I'm not going to do this. Most packages that are implemented in Go just build-depend on golang-go and invoke /usr/bin/go and it's important that the version of Go that gets you is controlled by the packages' build-depends not whatever the admin of the system has done with update-alternatives.
