Bug Description

There is now a driver kit available on the lexmark website for custom drivers to be built - as such, I am assuming they are now open source, free to people to use to make drivers etc. I have a Lexmark 4550 all in one unit with wi-fi but Ubuntu will simply not recognise it either on USB or wi-fi. As such, can a driver please be made available for ubuntu for this unit, if poss, incorporating the Wi-fi elements? Im happy to help out if I can but my technical knowledge isnt that great! Link to lexmark included below...

Thank you for your answer.
In fact I was asking for "an official" answer.

Hope soon we have an answer.

I am pretty sure, this "bug" / "feature request" can be closed - I have searched the Lexmark-sites high and low, there's no "Linux Driver Kit" anywhere any more. Haven't even found the linux-driver any more that I later found on an old CD, it seems Lexmark removed their Linux-support completely. :( Best bet for drivers is http://www.openprinting.org/printers/manufacturer/Lexmark
