Textbox appears when typing on empty desktop.

Bug Description
If I have a clear desktop (i.e. no windows showing) and I start typing, a text box appears. I don't know what it's for, and it seems to have no purpose. Expected behavior: Nothing should happen when I type on a clear desktop. Screen shot attached.
