Bug Description

If I have a clear desktop (i.e. no windows showing) and I start typing, a text box appears. I don't know what it's for, and it seems to have no purpose. Expected behavior: Nothing should happen when I type on a clear desktop. Screen shot attached.

That box has been there for many years.

http://askubuntu.com/questions/71292/right-bottom-corner-textbox-in-desktop-whats-it-for suggests that this is a feature for use by users who have many files on their desktop.
