Esperanto langpack not installing correctly

Hi,
  I have tried to install the Esperanto langpack, but this does not seem to be working. dpkg-reconfigure locales gives the following error:

eo_XX.UTF-8... cannot open locale definition file `eo_XX': No such file or directory failed

Also, the Esperanto option does not seem to appear in the GDM Menu. The Language Selector under System->Administrations has Esperanto checked but this does seem to make any difference.

I am a beginner in Esperanto and using it in Ubuntu would really help! Thanks in advance.

There was a language pack update rencently (including esperanto), could you check whether it fixed the problem?

  Thanks for the reply, but I think I have the latest language packs
installed (if you dont think this is the case could you please point me
to the specific debs to download?). I think the bigger issue is with the
dpkg --reconfigure locales - the esperanto pack just fails there...
