$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu

$ uname -a
Linux p55a-ud3 4.8.0-26-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 18 14:39:52 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Description:
vim-gtk-py2 pkg from official repository doesn't support python2. But it has built with flag -lpython3.5m instead.

Expected:
vim-gtk-py2 and vim-gtk3-py2 is support python2.

Actually:
vim-gtk-py2 and vim-gtk3-py2 isn't support python2.

Testing on yakkety here, '/usr/bin/vim.gtk-py2 --version' reports python2 support and not python3. /usr/bin/vim, however, is pointing to vim-gnome, which is (correctly) the inverse. Perhaps that's the confusion?
