Bug Description

Ubuntu 16.10, unity 7.5.0+16.10.20160906.1-0ubuntu1

My physical destop situation:
I have a notebook with an external monitor on my left side. The monitor is connected via VGA.

Configuration:
I've configured, that my desktop should be expand on the left side. This works fine.

Problem:
If I boot Ubuntu with my plugged-in external monitor, everything works fine, the second screen is appended to the left side.
If I boot Ubuntu without my plugged-in external monitor and later, I plug-in the second monitor, I have to hit a specific shortcut (on my Samsung E271 its Fn+F4) to search for new plugged in monitors. This works, but the monitor expand my desktop now on the right side.

Notice:
The shortcut worked on a fresh Ubuntu-Installation without special software installed afterwards.

Maybe useful. Currently, I use the last configuration (Vendor SAM on VGA and Vendor CMO on LVDS-0)
