Calendar doesn't open ics files

Bug Description
I received an appointment attached to an email. It's an ics file. From dekko I save this file to the Download folder. From the File Manager I try to open it / get it imported into the Calendar, but it says:
Sorry, there arent' currently any apps that can handle this type of content.
I would expect that calendar is offered and imports it into the default calendar.

which sounds very much like this should work ... but it doesn't work for me on a Nexus 7, channel rc-proposed, image r554.
I'll attach a copy of an ics file.
