Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-desktop-environment

I will occasionally get this error message on my Gutsy install:

There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon.

The last error message was:

Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

I have seen other similar bug reports. But, they seem to mostly refer to the Fiesty release and/or the status is listed as "Fix Released".

I have gotten this error on two fresh installs of Gutsy with and without all updated packages. It seems to occur somewhat randomly and and reboot always seems to fix it.

Hardware:
Toshiba A-105 Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR2 RAM
160 GB SATA HD
Intel GMA945 Graphics Card
