Remove features dependent on VRTY.ORG, which is no longer available

Hi! Can we at least know the reason? I really enjoyed the service, like vrty.org pulling all the images from different sources so I had to add the tag only and I get all the different pictures from various sources. Is there something that we can do?

Just a quick comment from my end, as far as I can see Peter is the owner of the domain, thus assuming that he is running the site.

It would be good to get some "official" verbiage from the dev(s) explaining whats happened.

Also, if there is anything we can do (as a community) let us know, I certainly am more than happy to invest a few hours on this.

The title of this bugs should be changed to specify that VRTY.ORG is down, and not to the removing of the features from the code.
It'll make it easy for people to understand what's going on. For example, when Peter first marked it as "Won't Fix", was that referring to the webpage or to removing the feature from the code? First case, features won't get removed, second case they will because the server won't be fixed.

Now this bug is marked as "Triaged", again, verified by Peter but referring to fixing the webpage, or to removing the functionality from the code?
I'm assuming that given the title and description of this bug, Triaged implies that VRTY.ORG WILL be removed from the code since the author has verified it (Triaged)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to patch out the parts that directly use VRTY.org in the UI, but I can't seem to get glade working with the .ui files in data/ui. It pops up errors in the form "Failed to load /home/james/packages/variety/data/ui/PreferencesVarietyDialog.ui. The following required catalogues are unavailable: preferences_variety_dialog". Any suggestions?
