Bug Description

The CRIU package (for checkpoint and restore) is not available for s390x.
But it is used by LXD, for example for live migration.

I'm marking this bug invalid as there's nothing wrong with the packaging.

CRIU needs specific support code for every architecture which matches some kernel code that's also architecture specific. Until someone does that work in both the Linux kernel and in CRIU upstream, there's nothing we can do about s390x (or powerpc, arm64 and i386 which are similarly unsupported).

Excellent thank you, this will be picked into Ubuntu as part of the natural development cycle, when upstream merges that into master and makes a stable release which we would then pick up. This might make it into 17.10 or into 18.04 LTS depending on the upstream timing. Closing this reverse-proxy feature request.
