usb mouse pointer not working

Bug Description
USB mouse pointer not working when I ugraded my system from 16.04 to 16.10, however if I type following two commands in terminal one after other, it works for that session but stops at restart, repeat the procedure it works command are sudo rmmod usbhid ... sudo modprobe usbhid, please help
