Bug Description

About every five hibernations, hardware keeps running and must be hard rebooted.

syslog shows:
systemd-sleep[15510]: /lib/systemd/system-sleep/wpasupplicant failed with error code 255.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.9 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

I tested Kernel 4.9.0-rc4 with more or less success, making it difficult to determine precisely if it fixed this bug in particular. Among the many problems encountered, however, none concerned hibernation.
