unable to use intel graphic card

I have t440p laptop with intel graphic card

But I am not able to use h/w rendering.

Tried running following command (no success)
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel

Also, used intel's graphic tools to update the packages but no success their also.
Anything I am missing..
This problem appeared when I upgraded ubuntu 14.x to ubuntu 16.04

do you have linux-image-generic installed?

you are using unofficial ppa packages, those are not supported by ubuntu

Also, as default graphics driver was not working I have tried to install ppa package from unofficial source. Let me know the ppa I can remove the same and give updates.
