Bug Description

2.1, Device discovery IP Assignment label incorrect

Bug description:

Current result:
Given on device discovery listing
When a user changes IP assignment
Then currently one option is called dynamic

Expected/ correct result:
Given on device discovery listing
When a user changes IP assignment
Then the dynamic named option should be called auto-assign

Believe this is to keep all dropdowns consistent with other IP assignment options with in MAAS

No "auto-assign" is very different then "dynamic". To keep it consistent "dynamic" can be renamed to "DHCP", but it cannot be renamed to "auto-assign".

I've talked to Maria about this one, and explained her that "dynamic" is not the same as "auto-assign".

In devices term, "dynamic" means that the devices gets an IP address from DHCP or any other method, and it is not ensured that the device will always keep this IP. It may change "dynamically". In this case MAAS may not control the IP the machine it gets at all, or may come from somewhere else (not MAAS).

In a machine "auto-assign" means that MAAS chooses an IP for the machine and configures it "statically". This means that while the amchine is deployed, it will always have the same IP.
