I am experiencing this problem everytime even though I reinstalled the entire linux system. The same audio problem exists everytime.

'I was unable to hear any sound even though I played a lot of stuff in my Ubuntu machine. I tried re installing alsa and other things as described in various forums, but none of them worked for me. Can anyone please help me in getting rid of this?'

Sorry, I marked his previous bug report as invalid and asked him to refile when I should have simply changed the package affected and asked for him to run apport-collect, but I'd forgotten that command.
