Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.8 kernel[0].

I have never tested an upstream kernel; I have read the wiki page you
have sent and it does not seem a straightforward issue.

However I am leaving and I will come back in November. I will send you
