Audio playback test makes volume too loud

While using checkbox I tested some things, after I came to the recording test which immediately stopped (for whatever reason), I closed the program.
After that I resumed a video from YouTube, which played at approximately 1000% volume (on my speakers, even silence created a big noise, so I had to jump down to the ground behind my desk and tear out all cables around the speaker as I had no time to think). Moving the slider on the volume reset everything to normal.
