Bug Description

(When the Calendar App is closed) On clicking on an event on the pop-up calendar in the Wingpanel, it open the calendar app but does not open up on the correct date (much less the correct event). For some reason, it is always opening up on July 10th 2016. This does not happen when the Calendar App is already open (in which case, it just brings the app to focus).
This behavior is counter-intuitive and breaks the whole workflow.

I have a similar problem. When I select (double click) a date in the calendar applet or any event and the calendar app is closed it opens the calendar app displaying the month from the number of the day selected. e.g. If I double click the 4th day of any month in the calendar applet (or select an event from that date) it will display April in the app. Select the 12th day of any month in the applet will select December in the app. The year is correct (i.e. if I go to April 2015 and select the 12th day I get December 2015). If I select a day greater than the 12th I get the last month I had open (including the year this time, i.e. if the last month open was June 2015 and I select 25th January 2017 in the applet I get June 2015).

There must just be a simple mix up of a variable that should be pointing to the month integer but is instead pointing to the day integer.

If the calendar app is already open in the background double clicking any date or any event in the applet just bring the app to the front of the window pile. It doesn't change anything. This is not the behavior I would expect, I think it should change to the day/month/year I have just selected in the applet. And if I select an event from the bottom of the applet it should open that event.

I also have the issue of the events that are displayed on the right hand pane of the app are from the day before e.g. if I select Saturday it displays Fridays events even though it says Saturday at the top of the pane.

Also, when you click the "report a problem" button on the about window for Maya Apport claims that this is not an official elementary package and wont allow you to report a problem! A minor issue but I would think that a non-tech person would report problems this way...

Not sure if its relevant but I do have the Calendar synced with my Google calendar.

(To clarify by calendar APPLET I am referring to the calendar that drops down when you select the date/time in the top middle of screen, by calendar APP I mean Maya)
