after returning from hibernation, graphics in 3d games is messed up

Bug Description

Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 with IBM Thinkpad R50e.

Ways to reproduce the bug:
0. shut down Thinkpad completely.
1. turn Thinkpad on and login into Ubuntu
2. play the game 'i have no tomatoes', without problems
3. system->quit->hibernate
4. wake up Thinkpad
5. play the game 'i have no tomatoes' with graphics messed up (rectangles instead of fonts etc.)
