Installer reports failed due to bogus journalctl error

Bug Description

I was installing the mysql-server package onto a new VM. I see "Job for mysql.service failed because the control process exited with error cocde"

I open journalctl -xe and it shows mysql.service as having started correctly.

I log in to mysql -u root -p with the password that the installer asked for and it works.

I think whatever error code was returned is bogus. But this has left the package manager in a half-configured state.

See attached file for terminal output of steps taken.
