Bug Description

Hi,

I open here a new thread that concerns the same problem I have for a long time.
I cannot share my wallpapers on facebook :)
I have removed the app variety of my Mint Rosa, removed the .config/, deleted variety on my facebook account...after that actions, the reinstall of variety keeps that bug.

Here are some issues found with the same problem on other oauth app :
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20293622/publish-actions-in-scope-not-triggering-second-dialog
http://seotoast.com/fb-scope-publish-actions-not-asking/
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35292019/fb-scope-publish-actions-not-asking

My developer soul tells me the problem doesn't come from my configuration / pc but may come from the variety facebook app created on the developer console (roles / actions).

How many NEW (recents) variety users can perform the wallpaper sharing ? Those who haven't the initial publish_actions or publish_stream ?

Is there anyone (with no ROLE on variety app of course...) who can remove variety on it's facebook account and retry a sharing process ?

Thank you a lot for your help.
As I am a developer, it's very annoying to be blocked with that problem which is probably simple to resolved.

Regards
Guillaume

Thanks for that very useful feedback, ikonenn. It seems that at some point in time Facebook have added this review process that I haven't understood about, and I haven't applied for it. It worked for me when I tested because I'm the owner of the app.

So, yes, the problem is with the Facebook app configuration, not with the client.
I'll check what they want for the review and submit the app for review.

They rejected the first review submission. I'm trying again with a new screencast. The whole review process is abysmal so far...

If this goes on like this, I'll change the process to use VRTY.org as a middleman - upload image as a favorite, redirect user to the image page on VRTY.org, and let them use an ordinary in-browser Facebook share button from there. This would simplify lots of things.

I got the popup to allowing publish actions :)

However I cannot yet share wallpapers because of an other error message :
« Facebook message : (100) picture should represent a valid URL »

NB : Same error for all wallpapers from wallhaven.
