all my cards are gone!

I have made a few hundred cards over the course of a couple of weeks.

A few days ago I shut down my computer. After restarting, and opening mnemosyne, there are NO cards left in my file. They appear to be gone! All that work....

Please help find these files.

What happens if you open the default location of the database? I.e. go to the menu 'file - open' and browse to a directory like C:\users\julia\appdata\roaming\mnemosyne, and select default.db?

Note that in that directory you will also find a directory backups, which contains backups.

Did you do anything special, like trying to create a new database?

Finally, it's always best to keep backups yourself in case your drive crashes.

All of the back up files were blank, but when I tried the default.db like
you suggested I recovered all 300 notecards!
