Did work for a couple of short sessions.
Will not import .kdb file from KeepassX usless in a Windows environment. I'm only Ubuntu 16.04

I have the same problem. When using auto-type or when double-clicking on an entry to copy the password to the clipboard, KeePass2 hangs and I have to kill it.

Restarting used to fix the problem, but unfortunately no longer.

I am using Lubuntu 16.04 64-bit.

Edit: from #1 comment
Will not import .kdb file from KeepassX unless in a Windows environment. Word usless replaced with unless.
I'm a linux only user.

Further experimentation seems to indicate that there is a problem with copying to the clipboard.

KeePass2 works fine until I double-click a username or password, at which point it hangs.

If I instead open the entry, highlight the username or password, and copy, then I can paste it into certain applications (such as gedit, pluma or leafpad), but not others (such as gnome-terminal).

To further confuse things, sometimes KeePass2 suddenly starts to work properly after killing and restarting it multiple times.

Running KeePass2 from the terminal does not produce any error messages.

@doxland — I did not import from KeePassX, in case that helps.

After some experimentation, it seems that KeePass2 will work correctly if, after starting it for the first time, it is left alone for a couple of minutes before using it.

Perhaps there is some type of database reorganisation that takes place each day, and causes KeePass2 to hang if used before it is complete?

@doxland Does this information help you?

I have further information.

For me, I find that this problem occurs only with the plugin QuickUnlock installed.

When QuickUnlock is installed, this problem recurs when using KeePass2 prior to the automatic lock — as set in Tools > Options > Security > Lock workspace after KeePass inactivity (seconds).

After the lock has activated for the first time, KeePass2 then works properly.

QuickUnlock:
