Bug Description

In the 16.10 desktop help the examples of using the compose key seem to be wrong since they don't indicate simultaneous key presses. Eg I think the first example would be better written as "Press <compose> + ' then a letter to place an acute accent over that letter, such as é." (Note: I can't reproduce the desktop help formatting in this comment.) The user presses ' while still holding down <compose>, releases both keys, and then presses a letter.

Simultaneous key presses are not needed when using the compose key, so I think the examples are correct.

Hi Gunnar, apologies, my mistake. You're right: single key presses do work. I must have got confused and thought only simultaneous key presses work.
