Bug Description

Hi,
touching MX4's bellow-the-screen button may wake it up. This issue is an older one, but with the current rc-proposed image (r423) it happens right after system boot (all the time).

On other instances (older images) this behaviour was not easily observable but happened from time to time, usually not immediately after reboot but surfaced with using the phone throughout a day.

This is an unexpected behaviour that causes the phone to wake up in a pocket, leaving the screen on and the device potentially hot and faster to drain the battery. Also, if there is no locking mechanism apps can be launched and even without it emergency calls can be made if you are lucky to type the correct number in your pocket (that is especially bad).

I expect the current rc-proposed image's fault to always wake up the screen just by touching the button is only a soon-to-be-fixed regression, but could you please look into the more random part? I am not sure how to reproduce it though.

Hmm, but it started behaving correctly for me after I received a notification with r423. After a reboot it was broken again but the first notification fixed it as it did before.
