pppoe forgets settings

Bug Description

pppoe is not getting connected on boot each time although i have set it to do so
by default.
then i tried to connect using 'sudo pon' but then still it does not connect.
each time i boot, i have to reconfigure the pppoe using 'sudo pppoeconf' to
connect to the internet using ADSL technology. :(
plz rectify at the earliest
