This seems to work fine for me. If you are inside without wifi its unlikely to provide a location fix. With wifi it also may not work if the AP is not known to the service.

Hi @pat-mcgowan

This issue is reproducible in M10 device FHD and HD to, it still crashes even if yo select "Use GPS only". It was tested in E5 and E4.5 using data connection and WiFi too, and in both cases it does not work, please, could you double check it?.

Thanks in advanced.

Kind regards.

The devices that don't get location is this on first boot after a flash? If so can you reboot it and see if you get a connection then, In QA we have tested this, however there is a known issue with the mtk gps whereby the android and ubuntu controllers confuse it on initial startup. Sometimes it's fine most of the time it isn't. 99% of the time this is resolved with a reboot.

summary: - DUT does not locate. GPS is not working.
+ DUT does not provide location quickly after a cold boot
