Bug Description

Installing Ubuntu Hoary on i386, it failed when configuring the network with
DHCP. It's like it doesn't find the DHCP server, however it works with Knoppix
and Windows 2000.

Does it work if you configure the network manually?

Yes, I can configure the network manually and get to the next installation step
(partition disk).
However, how to check that the network really works, there's no ping command in
the installation shell?
Also note that there is a 2nd network card on this machine. That card doesn't
work at all, with any system.
