Bug Description
The system recognizes the printer, it prints the file, shows the job has been sent, logs it to the spooler, shows it as completed, but nothing is printed. This happens for both USB and WiFi
I have tried through launchpad to get help https:/
Also tried on Ubuntu MATE Community: -- https:/
I can access http://
Last, inside a VM running Windows 7 I can print to a different WiFi HP printer.
Located in Oregon.
Desperately trying to leave MS.

It had nothing to do with the cupsd.conf file.
It was all about Brothers incorrect instructions.
In their instructions it stated: ******* ******* LoginName) /Download
*******
The tool will be downloaded into the default "Download" directory.
(The directory location varies depending on your Linux distribution.)
e.g. /home/(
Step2. Open a terminal window and go to the directory you downloaded the file to in the last step. ******* *******
*******
In reality the files had to located in /Download/Drivers and then following their instructions everything worked and automatically installed the printer also.
BTW I used this URL --- http:// support. brother. com/g/b/ downloadhowto. aspx?c= gb&lang= en&prod= hll2340dw_ us_eu_as& os=128& dlid=dlf006893_ 000&flang= 4&type3= 625 which points to the Driver Install Tool.
The.deb might work, but I am so new to Linux I could not figure it out.
It is not a bug.......
