journal: clicking on the month-name or year-number in the paned calendar should take you to that page

Bug Description

I enjoy having the paned calendar (from the journal plugin) without the "select in index" option (as my workflow wants).

However, this means that there is no *easy* way to jump to the current (or nearby) month & year pages.

It would be nice if clicking on the month name would take you to that month (noting that the calendar may have a different year selected), and likewise that clicking on the year number would take you to that year's journal page.

Clicking on the currently has no effect, so I'm pretty sure this will be a non-invasive and trivial feature.

I just realized that this would be better as an upstream blueprint, so I filed it as:
