Bug Description

When aggregating measures from different resource types you cannot group by specific fields (not generic), you need to specify the resource type.
For example, we have cost measures for different resource types and we need to aggregate them grouped by specific fields.

So you want to aggregate different resource types?

I see two ways: either we implement some kind of inheritances between types, or we allow that if and only if the fields have the same name and same types.

Changed in gnocchi:
status: New → Triaged

Yes, that is exactly what we need. I think the second option is less restrictive for querying because you don't need to know the resource type or parent resource type.
