Bug Description

Contactsmenu (binary: kicker-contactsmenu) source and binaries should be removed from hardy.

It got replaced by kicker-khalkhi (already in gutsy - http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Khalkhi+applet+for+Kicker?content=54451) which is the official successor.

No rdepends.
apt-rdepends -r kicker-contactsmenu

contactsmenu and its binary, kicker-contactsmenu, should indeed be removed from hardy.
There are no rdepends and kicker-khalkhi both Replaces and Conflicts with kicker-contactsmenu.
Would it not be better to have a transitional package too, so that users of kicker-contactsmenu can update to kicker-khalkhi seamlessy?

A transitional package is actually a good idea, but I don't think there are a lot of users anyway (meaning only those who were searching for kicker and installed kicker-contactsmenu) since contactsmenu wasn't very much promoted in any way.

khalkhiapplet (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/khalkhiapplet) now creates a transitional package.
