I see this in my maas.log afer installing 2.0a1:

Aug 27 17:19:46 maas maas.service_monitor_service: [ERROR] Can't update service statuses, no RPC connection to region.

The log message should be clear or not produced. This issue is to be resolved using the System Log Guidelines specification (internal ref MA086).
