iTerm has a neat feature where it presents a dialog to confirm pasting multiple lines of text. This includes security benefits: https://thejh.net/misc/website-terminal-copy-paste and would in addition help avoid the situation where one accidentally pastes a large block of text or code which would clutter the terminal output.
